Well done and a hearty congratulations to our local quiz team who have done themselves and their families proud by winning a bronze medal in last weekend's Community Games National Finals. Tara Duggan, Cillian Doyle, Johna Tighe and Ronan Flanagan with subs Matthew Callan and Alan McAuley under the guidance of coach Mary Doyle. In recent weeks they have put alot of time and effort into securing these medals and into representing Roscommon so admirably.

Upcoming National Finals
The first of three National Finals for the Community Games will take place this weekend in Athlone. The focus will be the finals of the events from the Spring Calendar. Seven young people from Boyle will be representing County Roscommon. Six of whom are on the quiz team. Cillian Doyle, Tara Duggan, Ronan Flanagan and Jonah Tighe with subs Mathew Callen and Alan McAuley. This event is U-14 and while this is a young team, many of the members have participated in the national finals of this years Credit Union quiz and have the benefit of that experience.
The National Finals are nothing new to Ruth Cox. Two years ago Ruth won a gold medal in the U-10 600 metres and this weekend Ruth will be running as part of a mixed distance relay for U-12. We would like to wish them all the very best of luck and we hope that whatever the outcome, they all enjoy the expierence. Many thanks to Mary Doyle for coordinating the quiz team and to Jackie Valentine for coordinating all of the athletic events.
