COUNTY ATHLETICS (TRACK) FINALS:

VENUE: St. Faithleach's GAA Pitch, Ballyleague.

ENTRY FEE: €2 per competitor/child, €5 Adult or €15 for family.

PROGRAM: €3 (As well as competitor names/events & running orders, there
are photos from all Areas included throughout from different events in
2014 & previous years) - a great keep-sake.

Gymnastics Update:
The date for the County Gymnastics is Wednesday June 18th @ 7pm in
Athlone Gymnastics Club. €2 entry fee for all competitors.
Events Update:
Overall so far, Boyle has done very well in the Community Games, congratulations to the following:
Our Choir, led by Rhona McGrath, came first in Kilbride Church and go on the represent the county, a great achievement by all.


Congratulations to Kate Garaven who came 1st in the U12 Girls Art Competition in Hyde Park on 5th April.


Well done to Eabha Lawlor who got 3rd place in U10 Handwriting Kilbride Community Centre.

Our Futsal U13 Boys team beat Castlerea 7-6 in final 8/5/2014 in Ballinagar, in what was a very tense and exciting game! Well done Boys!


Congratulations to Diarmuid Sutton who took 3rd place in Swimming U14 Boys 50M Freesyle.

Every competitor must be under the age category in which they compete on July31st this year (e.g. Under 8 on July 31 2014to be eligible for under 8 competition)


Registration Forms have sent out to the schools, so please complete these and bring them with you on the day.
Art Competition Update
Congratulations to Kate Garavan who came 1st in the U12 Girls Art competition on Sat in Roscommon. Kate now goes on to represent the County in u12 category in the National Finals to be held over the weekend of 15-17 August in Athlone. A very big well done to Kate!

Handwriting Update
The County final of the Handwriting competition takes place in Kilbride Community Centre on 29th April at 7pm. Best of luck to the following who are taking part:

Basketball Update 24/03/2014

Boys U13 Basketball Team
The u13 boys played their matches last weekend 15/03/14 in Castlerea. They won their first match and went on to play Castlerea in the semi-final, losing out narrowly in what was a very tight match. Well played to all the boys on the team and thanks to Boyle Bastketball Club for all their assistance. The team was as follows:

Daire Cregg, Jack Kelly, Danny Valentine, Oisin Cregg, Danny Funke, Sean Carty, Adam Langan, and Lorcan Connolly.


Girls U13 Basketball Team
The girls basketball team successfully beat Castlerea and Ballaghdareen in their heats. They went on to play Kilbride in the County Final on Sunday 23/03/14, and continued their winning streak with a score of 19 - 8 to Boyle! They are now through to the Connaught Finals! Well done girls and keep up the good work!

The Boyle Basketball team, U-11 mixed, U-13 Girls and U-13 Boys will compete next Saturday 15th March in Castlerea Community School and the Hub Sports complex. Many thanks to Boyle Basketball Club for their coaching and support. Wishing all the participants the very best of luck!

Meanwhile the U13’s soccer team succeeded to the quarter final where Boyle beat Kilglass 7:3 and progressed to the semi final where they were beaten unfortunately, by Taughmaconnell 5:1. Well done to all the players and to their coaches, particular thanks to Geoff Henry and Frank Kerrins.

Hat Trick for Boyle Community Games.
Boyle's Under 14 quiz team continued their tradition on Friday night in Elphin, by retaining the community games County Title for the third year in a row. They secured a comfortable victory with 83 points, followed by Ballaghadreen on 73 points and Frenchpark on 71. They will now proceed to contest their current All-Ireland title in August. Art and Handwriting update March 2014

The Art and Handwriting events were held on March 1st. All the participants did very well and judging the entries was tough!


1st & 2nd place winners in each age category go on to represent Boyle at the County Final in Art on Saturday 5th April (u8 & u10 @ 10am) (u12, u14 @ 2pm)in Hyde Centre, Roscommon and Handwriting on Tuesday 29th April at 7pm in Kilbride Community Centre, Fourmilehouse.

U10 Soccer

The u10 Soccer team played on Saturday March 1st in Strokestown. The team played a great match, scoring 2:2 with the game having to go to penalties. It was a very tense match! Although the team were unsuccessful, well done to all the players for such a hard fought game!
March 1st 2014 - Art and Handwriting - The Community Games Art and Handwriting competition took place on Saturday March 1st. Again, there was a great turnout with a very high standard of entries to both competitions. The winners of both events will be notified shortly.

Boyle Community Games 2014

Welcome to Boyle Community Games 2014. This year has kicked off to great success with the Community Games Quiz evening on Friday 31st January 2014. There was a great turnout for the event and all participants scored very well! The six highest scorers have formed the Boyle Quiz Team and are as follows: 1st - Killian Doyle 2nd - Luke Connelly 3rd - Shane Carr 4th - Oisin Cregg The subs for the team are Sarah Duggan and Eoin Connelly. The team will compete at the County Finals, which takes place in Elphin Community Centre on Friday 7th March @ 7p.m. Well done to the 2014 team and to all participants! A special presentation was made to last years team who achieved great success at national level. They will be a hard act to follow! A further presentation was made to Mary Doyle in recognition of her outstanding commitment and work in coaching the Quiz Team. A big thank you, Mary!
